A Commission for “The Elephant in the Room” Movement

In one of Rob's most significant commissions to date, he was asked by Brent Pope - founder of The Elephant in the Room mental health movement - to create a large-scale work for a high-profile advocacy event. The result: two portraits of world champions Andre Agassi and Sugar Ray Leonard, painted directly onto a life-size plastic elephant - a striking visual metaphor for the mental health conversations we too often avoid.
Both portraits were hand-painted in oils, capturing the intensity and humanity of two of the world's most recognised sporting icons. The commission brought Rob's work to an international stage - and both Agassi and Leonard were photographed personally with their portraits on the day.
